Penybont Football Club Secures Major Investment and Strengthens Board
Penybont FC is pleased to announce that the Club has secured significant new investment to support its long-term ambitions, alongside strengthening the Board of Directors.
The investment will support the Club across four key areas: investment in the men’s first-team squad and women’s and girls’ football pathway, the next phase of facilities development at the DragonBet Stadium, the expansion of the academy and the growth of community programmes throughout the County Borough of Bridgend.
This investment comes at a pivotal point in our journey, as the men’s first team embark on a third UEFA Conference League campaign, alongside our continued work towards our 2030 strategy goals.
We would like to extend a warm welcome to Ryan Paisey and David Zeeman, who join the Board as new directors, bringing with them significant commercial, operational, and strategic experience.
Alan Whiteley, Chairman:
“This is the most exciting moment in Penybont’s history. European football, an expanded Cymru Premier and now long-term investment to match our ambition. We remain a Welsh community club at our core, and this investment is about building something sustainable for generations of Penybont supporters to come.”
Neil Ward, CEO:
“We’re entering a new era. This investment allows us to compete at a higher level, build a squad capable of competing in European football, and deliver on the facilities and community plans we’ve been working towards for years. We’re delighted to welcome Ryan and David to the Board - both bring exactly the kind of experience and energy the club needs for this exciting next chapter.”
