PenYbont 5 year strategy
Last week, Penybont FC—supported by the Football Association of Wales—welcomed a wide range of partners to share our 2030 strategy, reflect on the progress made since its launch last year, and demonstrate how our plans align with the national Cymru Premier League strategy.
This event was part of a coordinated programme delivered across all 12 Cymru Premier clubs, showcasing how the national strategy is being brought to life on the ground—both through sporting development and meaningful community impact.
Superbly hosted by Molly Stephens, the session brought together representatives from local and national government, education institutions, community organisations, internal stakeholders, and local football partners.
Event Highlights
We were fortunate to hear from several key speakers, including:
⚽ Chris Elmore MP – emphasising the need for strong collaboration across Bridgend partners to secure a successful future for both the town and the Club.

⚽ Viv Buckley, Principal of Bridgend College – highlighting the importance of strengthening partnerships to create better opportunities for young people.
⚽ Alan Whiteley, Chairman of Penybont FC – sharing his vision for the Club’s long-term role in supporting and enriching the lives of local people.
