Penybont discover European opponents
Round One
Penybont FC are delighted to announce that the club will face Andorran side, Santa Coloma in the Europa Conference League Qualifying round one.
The draw took place on Tuesday 16th June at the UEFA Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland and Penybont knew, going into the draw, that the club would face either La Fiorita; Linfield, Hamrun Spartans, Shkendija, FC Santa Coloma or Vllaznia.
After being drawn against Santa Coloma, it was confirmed that the first leg will be hosted at home on Thursday, the 9th of July at the Cardiff City Stadium whilst the away leg will occur at the Estadi Nacional, Andorra on Thursday, the 16th of July.
The Two Club's history
Bont have actually faced Santa Coloma three years ago in our first ever European endeavour where a confident 1-1 draw at home through an inevitable Chris Venables strike wasn’t enough to see us through to the second round as we were narrowly defeated 2-0 in blistering hot Andorran conditions.
About our opponents
Santa Coloma have asserted themselves as Andorran powerhouses since their formation in 1985 having been crowned 13x Andorran League Champions, 10x Andorran Cup’s and 7x Andorran Super Cup’s.
Round Two
Should Penybont progress beyond Santa Coloma across both legs, the club will face Austrian Giants Rapid Vienna (Wien) in the Europa Conference League Qualifying Round two.

Rapid Vienna boast the title as the most successful Austrian Football club in history above the likes of RB Salzburg and LASK, boasting a record 32 League titles, 14 Austrian Cups, 3 Austrian Super cups, The German Championship and Cup, and 2x UEFA Cup Winners Cup runners-up.
