VACANCY: WOMEN’S FIRST TEAM head coach

Penybont FC Women play in the Genero Adran South (Tier 2) and achieved a creditable fourth place following promotion last season. The team finished this season on a high by winning the Hugh James SWFA Cup. Our ambition, under our 2030 Strategy, is for the team to achieve further progress and win promotion to the Genero Adran Premier.

We are seeking a replacement for our former Head Coach, who has deservedly secured a higher-level coaching role but has left us with solid foundations upon which the team can develop.

· have a record of past coaching success;
· have a strong affinity to the female game, evidenced by past experience;
· be skilled at individual player development and building strong, cohesive, and successful teams;
· be highly motivated to achieve success, and strong at organisation and communication;
· be skilled at appointing an experienced group of coaching and support staff.

Key responsibilities include:

· Leading training and matchday fixtures;
· Setting team strategy and principles of play, ensuring players understand their individual and collective roles and responsibilities;
· Recruiting, appointing, and managing assistant coaching staff, as well as overseeing the appointment of coaching staff for our Under-19 women’s team;
· Identifying and recruiting players to strengthen team performance;
· Liaising with the U19 team manager on emerging players with potential for first-team selection;
· Supporting team administration and fulfilment of requirements for the FAW COMET system;
· Representing the Club publicly, including media appearances, acting within our core values of Excellence, Trust, Honesty, Respect, Togetherness, and Inclusivity;
· Attending and contributing to meetings of our Football Operations Group.
